Who are we?

This project has been developed by teachers and students jointly and in this section we introduce those who are part of it.

Carles Aliagas

Carles Aliagas has a degree in Computer Science from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC, 1991) and a PhD candidate in Computer Engineering from the Rovira i Virgili University (URV). At present, he is a full-time Professor of the University in the Department of Computer Engineering and Mathematics of the URV, where he exercises teaching and research tasks. His research interests are in processor microarchitecture, memory hierarchy and prediction in mobile networks.

Carlos Molina

Carlos Molina has a degree in Computer Science (1996) and a PhD in Computer Science (2005) from the UPC. He is currently a full-time University Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering and Mathematics of the URV, where he exercises teaching and research tasks. His research interests focus on computer microarchitecture, quality prediction and performance improvement in mobile networks, as well as serverless computing.

Pere Millan

Pere Millán has a degree in Computer Science from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (1992) and a PhD in Computer Engineering from the Rovira i Virgili University (URV, 2018). He is currently a full-time University Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering and Mathematics of the URV, where he exercises teaching and research tasks. His research interests are in quality prediction and performance improvement in mobile networks.

Montse García-Famoso

Montse García-Famoso received the degree in computer science from the University of Deusto in 1994. She is currently a Lecturer with the Computer Engineering and Mathematics Department, Rovira i Virgili University (URV), where she teaches and carries out research. Her research interests include methodologies and tools for university teaching in computer engineering.

Roc Messeguer

Roc Meseguer (Member, IEEE) received the graduate degree in Telecommunications Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in computer engineering from the Polytechnical University of Catalonia (UPC) in 1999 and 2012, respectively. He is currently a full-time Associate Professor with the Computer Architecture Department, UPC, where he teaches and carries out research. His research interests include distributed systems, particularly resource allocation for large-scale systems, decentralized systems applied to environmental intelligence, and community networks based on bottom–up initiatives.

David Ferrer

Born in Reus on September 20, 1993. David's job has been to develop the entire automation and queues system so that the odroid boards can work in parallel. The material to automate and install it can be found in the download section of the website.

Joan Jara

Born in Reus on March 18, 1996. Joan's job has been to develop the internal web page of the cluster to give information about who we are, how to use what we have created, provide a remote administration system and be able to monitor the odroid boards.

Marcos Esteve

Marcos Esteve has a double degree in Biotechnology and Computer Engineering from the Rovira i Virgili University. Born in Elda, Alicante in 1998, he studied scientific baccalaureate obtaining honors. He has been in charge of updating David and Joan's work and preparing the definitive version of the software for both automation and monitoring of the mini-multicomputer.
